some proposals for the gmaps pro component - 2007/12/07 07:32
Hello everybody,
I know life is no request program, but I am convinced of gmaps pro, and there are features I would like to find sometime in that component:

(in priority order)
- frontend editing of markers (I know that it is in process), with several permission possibilities.
- in frontpage view, there sould be a filter possibility, like a submit date filter (1 day ago, 2 days ago ... more than 1 week ago) or submit by filter etc.
- a trajectory tour function, somehow like in the file i attached, in order to let the content move on the geocode values, recorded by a gps tracker

What functions could make this component more valueable?

Anyhow, I can?t wait for the next gmaps pro release

Best Regards,
cellomo

Although the first build won't necessarily include front-end editing of markers -- just submission -- it won't be too long after where I can enable that. However, I need to still think on this on how to implement because if a map is changed in the front-end after it is approved, I believe it should have to be re-approved again to protect from unwanted content.

I was already planning on creating some filtering capabilities soon but only on the category level.

Not sure I fully understand the trajectory function you are talking about. I do plan on looking at this attachment later this weekend. I have a few other things I have to take care of before diving deeper into this.
