If you can email me a login to the admin side, I can probably solve this easier.
Did you even see the SCRIPT tag being added to the page where the marker locator is rendered?

I had the same problem, though at first I couldn't understand why it worked perfectly when on my crash dummy site. It turned out that the version of Joomla was different. On my dummy site I was using 1.0.13 and the live site was using 1.0.08. An upgrade did the trick.
A quick related question though. In the marker locator, what code do I need to change so the default location is my area instead of America?

I believe you find the default value in the googleapi.class.php file. It is in the components/com_gmapspro/lib/gmaps folder. If that doesn't do it, let me know.
