Want to to a village trail - 2008/05/29 02:55
I need to make a map with polylines? where I can place a trail round our village, put own markers there and provide descr., pics, and possibly video at these points. I will also want to add other "landscape" features to the map. I think this involves KLM file!

Does this comp allow this and is it easy(ish) to do?

No ... it does not support polylines. However, you can use google mymaps and markers defined within gmapspro to probably achieve what you are looking for. feel free to email me if you have questions.

Actually I see from your demo 2nd map that you have drawn a shape which could pass as a trail around the map. Am I thinking right here that I could then place my own markers and pictures along this path and thus have a map with pics, descriptions and interest all the way round?

Do you support Panaramio pics (or something equivalent)?

The map you are referencing is using an adapter I wrote for a client to demonstrate what could be possible. That map parses a GPX file to programmatically create the polylines.

I believe someone has used Panaramio pics before in their implementation of the extension. Now, I am not familiar with how they achieve this nor am I familiar with Panaramio pics themselves so I'd hate to speculate.
