Buttons on upper right hand side are blank - 2008/06/13 13:16
I have been able to edit the gmaps.css to get text in the bubble markers to show. But the buttons on upper right hand side are blank (white) ... as in attached screenshot. The mouse-over hint works for each button but apart from that they are blank. Any tips ?

Trying again ... I finally got it down to allowed size. Anyway it shows the blank buttons. Any help appreciated.

OK, one more comment. By comparison with standard Google maps I have been able to determine that the main issue here is probably text colour. But how to set text colour for this particular object or zone ? I copied settings from my template.css for "button" and tweaked the colour, but but it did nothing. Evidently gmaps or the Google API don't recognize this item by the name "button" ... ? Again, any help would be appreciated. God bless  (for those who believe ...)

Is this the pro build? I haven't seen this. My guess is that it is CSS related but would need to look at the site directly.

No, it's not the Pro build. I am using GMaps 1.2.4, the free version.
Development site address is http://ccsmallgroups.hartgerink.ca
You don't need to log in to see the maps. Click on "Map Search" on the main menu.

I did figure out that the relevant Google API Class is the GMapTypeControl and spent a bit of time trying to edit the gmaps.css to set a font size and text colour for this class (don't know enough css to even know if this is the right approach) but was unsuccessful. However, I have figured out how to work around this. I am simply hiding the buttons by setting "showmaptype = N" in the map properties field. So I haven't solved the CSS problem but I don't really need a solution any more. So if you look at my site you won't see the problem any more. But I'd still be interested in knowing the solution if/when you have time to look at it.
By the way, thanks a lot for this component, it has done the job for me. My app is database driven and I am generating map markers, points and map names dynamically in PHP using the Fabrik Joomla extension.
