same problem like in Community Builder, user map is working nearby users dont? only my own settings will be shown??!? stetting value v=2 to V=2.115 hadnt work either..
The administrator has disabled public write access.

I can't speak for the api version and its impact. I just posted on this. I need to see your debug information and possibly look at your admin side to see all of the configurations.

Have the other values been geocoded? The extension will not automatically geocode "nearby users". Geocoding takes place once a profile has been viewed and it doesn't have the lat/long.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
