Roadmap for Native J1.5? - 2008/08/06 07:15
Hello,

1. Is there roadmap of when the Gmaps component will be Joomla 1.5 Native?
2. Is frontend user submissions working yet in the current or upcoming release of Gmaps?

Cheers

Are we talking about GMaps or GMapsPRO? Currently, pro does support front-end marker submission. I am currently working on the object model for GMapsPRO 2.0 which will be native 1.5 compliant. I am starting to draft my high-level objectives for the 2.0 build and will publish it when ready. It won't be for about a month. I have my own thoughts of what it will include but if there is anything you would like, let me know.

Either. If the component is good and is native joomla 1.5 and has frontend user submission then i wouldnt mind paying for it.

ok, its just i have been checking this site out for about 6-7 months and there doesnt seem to have been much done. So i was just wondering if there was a roadmap or some indication of if/ or when this project might move forward.

cheers

I do not know the future of the basic gmaps extension. However, I feel I have a good idea of what needs to be added to the 2.0 version which I am working on now. Again, if you have some thoughts on what would be valuable, please let me know.

Yes, he past 6-7 months have been very busy for me. I knew this would be the case as that timeframe coincides with my son's baseball season. Now that is over, I am focusing on my new build and the various custom development jobs I have.
