I get a blank screen. - 2009/02/10 11:21
I am running Joomla 1.5.9 in Legacy mode.
Installed the GMaps component and it said it was successful.
Went to Components / GMap and I get nothing but a blank screen. Looked at the page source and it is just an hmtl with nothing in the body.
Are there any special permissions that must be set on the folders?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

I am having the same problem too. I have tried it in Explorer 7 and in Firefox 3 both with the same results!! The blank white screen. Any ideas will be appreciated.

It is a great mod, hope this would work on 1.5.9

What versions are we talking about here? Is it basic, pro and what is the actual version #.

Thanks Chris for your quick answer.
Joomla version 1.5.9 & Gmap 1.2.4 (11/21/2007)
Is there anything else you would like to know about my config? I don't use the .htaccess if that could be any clue for you
I use the version that is currently available for download, it's the basic one I guess

Send me a URL to a quick look at this. I haven't looked at the basic extension in several months. The PRO build is more reliable than the basic build when using J1.5.

I doubt it would be a template issue. You may want to look at the gmaps.php file for references to patTemplate. Since this is the basic version, I've seen postings on the case of the patTemplate folder. I may have it coded as patTemplate when it might need to be pattemplate. This would be for J1.5 though. I can't say for sure.

Everything looks fine to me in the php file. References are correct and the upper/lower case is OK.
Any other idea?
