moisea,
The default location of a map is in the US -- probably near Colorado. What you need to do are these steps:

1. Define and create your markers and the lat/long is required.
2. Define your map. This really is nothing more than a title and a brief description.
3. Add the markers to the map.

The markers are what will redirect the map image to the UK. Give that a try and let me know.

thanks cs1559, how do i define my marker? the lat/long required for cambridgeshire uk is latitude: 52.25N and the longitude:00.07W.
http://www.mapsofworld.com/lat_long/united-kingdom/united-kingdom-lat-long-c.html what do i do with those numbers? i am completely lost here !
ha! i see went to my gmap admin and entered the longitude and latitude of cambridgeshire the description but yet again facing another obstacle in the "Image URL".
how do i get the image and its URL please?

many thanks again for your help.

I'd first get the map and marker displaying first and then worry about the image.

The image url is any url that references an image on your server.

example: http://www.myco.com/images/example.png

Bad news ... the underlying code that I see doesn't appear to be generated by GMaps. Do you have another google mapping tool installed on your site?
