pop-up open by default? - 2007/03/06 23:45
Can you have the pop-up open by default when the page is first rendered? Secondly, can you have the driving directions tab in the pop-up be displayed first instead of the details tab?
Thanks much!
Wonderful component. See it working at

Eric - there is no monetary reason it can't be done.
In all seriousness, at the present time, it doesn't support opening a markers info window automatically when the map is rendered. However, it put it on our list of things to look at. Just be patient.
Secondly, no, the driving directions tab cannot be first unless you hack the code. I can put that on the list of things to look at as well.
Thanks for the feedback.
Nice site by the way! Chris

Your response and feedback is appreciated. I can live with how it is. If you consider it as an option in a future release, then great, but it is a great feature, none-the-less, that I am happy to use on my site. I'll take a whack at the hack myself and post any findings.

Danke, If you blink, it maybe too late. I might have gotten it done already.

Just in case ... I haven't coded it yet, but I'm going to do another build this weekend for the GreatJava. These are two pretty easy enhancements that I can throw in for the build I'm doing for him.

Cool Chris,
I was just about to login and ask for the very same feature. Synchronicity.
