The following defines the future feature roadmap for GMapsPRO. 

As we have daily jobs and have limited time, all dates are tentative and subject to change without notice.

Version 1.6 - January 2008

• Change the method of calculating "nearby users" to be SQL based versus PHP based to help with potential performance issues

Version 1.7 - TBD

• Modify code base to retrieve plugin configuration parameters from GMapsPRO (prevent users from having to re-enter configuration parameters after an update)

Outstanding Features:

The following are features that are planned but have yet to be assigned to a specific release.

• Render the "self" icon with an icon different from the nearby users icons
• Formalize "hack" posted on the forums for CRON based batch calculation of nearby users
